Celebrity endorsements are fine if they are for ronco pocket fisherman or for Swanson TV dinners; but when those same celebrities actually testify before congress as an "EXPERT" witness because they just happened to play one on TV.
Ted Danson testified about the oceans. MR. Danson are you an expert? No. Did you go to school and study oceanography? No. But some people from an organization I belong to told me something bad is going to happen. I read the pamphlet and other literature and it was baaad!-
Recently Jim Carry- (Funnyman & actor) posted that mothers should not get their children immunized for fear of autism. Are you a doctor? No. But my girlfriend has an autistic child.
That is sad and unfortunate. But did the vaccination give/cause his autism or was it just one of those things that happen that is tragic.
From what I have read right now they can find no real correlation between the two. So I think mothers should Ignore the celebrities and sit down with your Doctor/Pediatrician and have an informed conversation, before you decide to avoid having your child vaccinated. (or not)

U.S. Interrogation

I think most Americans given a choice would use "harsh" techniques against terrorists to gain info about possible attacks. They are terrorist after all. Do they feed US captives dinners that are nutritious? Are they given a Bible? The answer is a BIG NO!! What they are given is the business side of a machette, or a close up view of a moving fist. The terrorist do not say, "wait! We must first consult the Geneva convention before we chop of his head.."
But our President thinks because he has apologized for every possible slight or misdeed the United States may or may not have done, the terrorist, er... sorry enemy combat...er, sorry again, those poor oppressed musl...er people, I mean poor people oppressed by the great Satan, America; won't beat up or chop off the head of an American prisoner. They will treat him/her humanly and call the Red Cross immediately to render any aid. (yeah right!) How naieve.
He would prefer our soldiers when capturing a terrorist say, "You have the right to remain silent..." The last democrat President tried that and we got a few bldgs bombed, a ship with a hole blasted in its side and downtown NY with an altered skyline. President Obama wants to go back to that mentality, the pre 9/11 mentality. We haven't been hit the terrorist won't hit us we've appologized everything is alright.

TRADITIONAL VALUES

I'll bet Miss California wasn't planning on a press tour defending her choice of answering a question honestly instead of being PC. How refreshing for someone so young to have such traditional values. (and rare) I'll bet Perez was just waiting for her to answer with a PC answer or even support special rights for sexual preference..
I don't think he was really expecting her to openly support traditional man/woman marriage. That was evident by his name calling AFTER the show on his blog by calling her a b---h, and the next day calling her a word beginning with a "c" which we won't say on this blog.
When you have to resort to name calling in a lame attempt to support your opinion... YOU LOSE! What next... what will he call the President, who also believes as Miss CA does? We already know what he would call Hillary, and the "C" was not for Clinton.
